Managed Services are a main aspect of Sky IT Support’s outsourcing solution. Managed Services by themselves are a worry-free way to transfer a portion of or all of the responsibility of supporting your IT network for a fixed monthly fee. In a managed services scenario, your servers, workstations, backup and even vendors are managed and supported by our office using state-of-the-art software tools, remote support, helpdesk services and on-site support as required.* All systems are proactively maintained, so there's less chance of a breakdown or a crippling issue.

Note: A study by the Gartner Group1 found that the total cost of ownership (TCO) of an unmanaged desktop computer running WindowsXP is $5,309. The same PC in a managed environment has a TCO of at $3,335. That's a savings of $1,974 over the same period.
Like cars, computer systems require regular support - upgrades, patches and other maintenance - to operate at peak efficiency and not break-down. Manged Services are like leasing your car. You didn't have to maintain it - change the oil and filters, rotate the tires, and get a tune up – nothing.
The four parts of a complete companywide outsource solution includes:
- Managed Servers
- Managed Workstations
- Managed Network
- Managed Backup
- and Vendor Management
Methodology
Network Assessment.
We assess your entire network to:
- get an inventory of all hardware and software assets to be supported,
- understand the Wide and Local Area Network Architecture including remote connections,
- check the anti-virus solution,
- check the firewall configurations,
- inspect the backup and disaster recovery solutions,
- identify business applications in use and
- understand user requirements, habits and demands
Stabilization Services. After the Network Assessment, we will provide stabilization services with recommended improvements and some required upgrades. A team will resolve all identified stabilization tasks including system upgrades, "tune-ups", hardware upgrades, security enhancements and approved solutions. It is at this time that we also create a professional Network Diagram - a snap shot of your network infrastructure. We also be continually speaking with you to better understand your long-term technology needs. Finally, we will propose solutions that will improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
Maintenance Schedule. After Stabilization Services, we install our network monitoring probes and agents; schedule technicians for regular support times and establish Helpdesk Services specifically for your company.
Don't pay more. Don't settle for less!
